There are hundreds of scholarships, bursaries and grant schemes on offer for students who need extra support to pay for their UK course.

Many institutions offer their own scholarships and bursaries, and you can check the university’s website for more information.

All scholarships have application requirements, for example, they may only be available for a specific course or for students from certain countries.

You can find information on scholarships and how to apply for them on the Study UK website.

Funding opportunities: Denmark

If you are a student in Denmark who would like to study abroad in the UK, you may be eligible for a scholarship from the State Educational Grant and Loan Scheme of Denmark (Statens Uddannelsesstøtte – SU).

You have two main options to apply for an SU grant (udlandsstipendie):

  1. a study abroad period that fully counts towards earning your degree in Denmark, or
  2. an entire master-level study programme.

Other than a scholarship, you may also be eligible for a student loan (udlandsstudielån) to cover the difference between the SU scholarship you receive in Denmark and your tuition fee in the UK.
